Source: the South Carolina Election Commission's daily early-voting turnout reports (votes by county and early-voting site for each day) and its absentee statistics, plus the same reports for the 2022 and 2024 general elections. South Carolina has no party registration, so there is no party split; the voter list records race, and the Commission's 2022 and 2024 absentee reports split by it.

Where 2026 stands

Cumulative ballots by day

Each line is a running total by days before Election Day. Early in-person voting runs Monday through Saturday for the two weeks before the election, from Oct 19 to Oct 31, 2026, with no voting on Sunday; it ran over the same days of the calendar in 2022 and 2024. All three elections fall on a Tuesday, so the same day count lands on the same weekday. 2022 is the last midterm, 2024 the last presidential election.

Absentee applications, ballots issued and returned

The absentee pipeline for . South Carolina voters must have a reason to vote absentee (age 65 or older, disability, work, travel, military and overseas, among others); everyone else votes early in person or on Election Day. A voter asks for an application, returns it, and is then issued a ballot by mail, e-mail or fax. Each line is cumulative by day.
