Source: the Mississippi Secretary of State, which posts statewide and county counts of absentee ballots requested, sent and received from its Statewide Election Management System each Monday, and posted the same weekly reports for the 2024 and 2022 general elections. Its 2022 releases also quote two statewide 2020 figures (the pandemic year) at the same point. Mississippi has no early voting: the only way to vote before Election Day is an absentee ballot, by mail or in person at the circuit clerk's office, and it takes an excuse. Mississippi has no party registration, so there is no party split, and none is estimated.
Where 2026 stands
Week by week
Each dot is one of the Secretary of State's Monday reports, placed by days before Election Day so the cycles line up: 2026's Mondays fall 36, 29, 22, 15, 8 and 1 days before Nov 3, the same as 2024's before Nov 5. The 2022 reports came out on Sundays, one day earlier in the count (16, 9 and 2 days before Nov 8). The Secretary of State posted no 2024 report before Oct 7 or 2022 report before Oct 23.
