Source: the Maryland State Board of Elections press room. Mail-in ballots sent and returned by county, congressional and legislative district and party are posted each morning, counted through 6 PM the day before. Early in-person voting runs eight days, Thursday, October 22 to Thursday, October 29, and the SBE posts a file of early votes by precinct, party, age group, gender, voting center and day. 2022 and 2024 early votes come from the same files for those elections; past mail-in counts on a given day come from copies of the SBE files saved by the Internet Archive. Registration is the SBE's count of eligible active voters at the close of registration for each election.
